FC Alliance Boys teams scouted by over 100 college coaches at ECNL Florida event!

FC ALLIANCE BOYS TEAMS SCOUTED BY OVER

100 COLLEGE COACHES AT ECNL FLORIDA EVENT

When it comes to getting recruited to play college soccer, nothing is more important than knowing the numbers. At this month’s ECNL Florida Boys Showcase, FC Alliance 2006-2009 boys teams were part of an event with over 250 college soccer coaches in attendance. These coaches represented every level, spanning from NCAA Division 1 to Division 3 to JUCO. Overall, more than 100 college coaches checked in to watch FC Alliance boys teams play. Those are massive numbers. Consider that many players have to hunt down colleges through ID camps to be seen by only one coach at a time. Sometimes maybe two or three in a joint event. At the ECNL Showcases, one game can lead to players being seen by 10, 20, 30, and sometimes even more coaches.

As FC Alliance is steadily growing as an ECNL boys program, the vast benefits of playing ECNL are starting to come into view. Efficiency in landing opportunities to be seen simply leads to more college options for players. This season alone, over 200 colleges have scouted FC Alliance ECNL and ECNL-RL boys teams. Furthermore, their constant dialogue with FC Alliance coaches and directors have created better matches for players to meet their social, academic and athletic needs at the next level.

As much as FC Alliance wants their teams to win games, getting older players recruited is a primary goal of the club. The club hosts semi-annual College Coaches seminars for players and parents to attend. In these, coaches describe what they are looking for in players and how to get to the next level. Players and parents can ask questions and get direct dialogue about the process as opposed to hearing from secondary sources what to do.

Last season, 11 FC Alliance boys signed on to play college soccer from the 06 Boys. That’s a huge step forward for the Knoxville soccer community. There is no additional cost for FC Alliance players to receive help with their recruiting.
