State League Champions: 98 and 99 Red
Coach Jonathan Thompson guides two teams to titles

Fresh off taking the 97 Girls Black to the Region 3 finals, Coach Jonathan Thompson just finished his next task: winning state league with his U15 and U16 boys.  The longtime FC Alliance coach navigated his teams through two grueling leagues, one of six teams and the other of eight, to secure #1 seeds for both squads in the upcoming Division 2 state finals.  Their combined records were 9-1-2, and included huge wins over several rivals.

The 99 Boys Red has risen quickly in the state ranks.  Once a fledgling team, they have suddenly found life under Thompson.  They went unbeaten in state league, with huge wins over KFC Arsenal, SCOR 99, Chivas and Arsenal Premier.  The most impressive result was a 2-0 triumph over Chivas; it was the only blemish for Chivas and ultimately was the difference between first and second place.

The 98 Boys Red had a tough road, but a 5-1-1 record sent them clear to first.  Wins were notched over CFC Flames, Knoxville Soccer Academy, White House Revolution, Stones River FC and Chattanooga FC.

The state finals will be held November 8-10 in Murfreesboro.
