Katie Thomas, a member of FC Alliance’s 00 Girls Black team, will travel to Frankfurt, Germany with the Tennessee Olympic Development team from July 18 through July 26. The state’s ODP squad will participate in the prestigious Adidas International Training Program, which is an outlet for outstanding American youth soccer players to receive exposure to the sport internationally.
While in Germany, Katie and fifteen other members of the 99 Girls ODP team will play in competitive matches, as well as being trained and coached by professionals from the FFC Frankfurt Academy. The trip, coordinated by the Tennessee State Soccer Association, will allow players to experience a unique exposure to training complexes and coaching staff of one of the world’s leading professional clubs. In addition, the team will be offered valuable insight into the youth development approach of FFC Frankfurt, one of the most prestigious teams in women’s soccer worldwide.
