FC Alliance Study Center Now Open
Three local companies donate all equipment

Thanks to the generosity of three Knoxville merchants, FC Alliance is now offering a fully outfitted study center at The Field House at Amherst.  The equipment includes computers with internet access, scanning, and high quality printing capabilities.  Players only have to bring their books and a little motivation, and the club provides the rests.  This is all made possible thanks to the kindness of Computer Depot, Office Furniture Outfitters and Appalachia Business Communications.

The study center is located at the entrance to The Field House at Amherst.  Players who have siblings practicing or playing at Amherst are encouraged to bring their backpacks along.  It is also a great place to get homework done before or after practice, or simply a place to print something if a printer isn’t available at home.

Balancing school and athletics can be a challenge.  It is a balance which becomes more challenging the older players become.  Although the club limits travel as much as possible, any weekend spent on the road is a weekend where homework can become a challenge.  The same goes for practice nights, especially for teams who have later practices.

Like any youth sports club, FC Alliance promotes academics before athletics, as many coaches hold their players accountable academically as well as athletically.
