Advanced Academy Information
U9 to U12 FC Alliance Academy

Advanced Academy U-9 through U-12

Core Competitive teams ....teams in this program include all levels of competitive Pools/teams. Players compete in local, as well as travel, tournaments, and local Alliance league play.

The mission of FC Alliance’s Academy is to equip each player with the technical abilities, the tactical awareness and the competitive mindset to succeed in soccer competition at this stage and as they progress into our Junior and Premier programs.

The dedicated trainers of FC Alliance also use the game of soccer to help players understand key life skills - work ethic, commitment, determination, discipline, desire, accountability and responsibility.  Through structured training, children who participate in our competitive club program will develop these attributes with a soccer ball at their feet.

The staff at FC Alliance has created an organized system that emphasizes the life skills listed above while developing players in four key areas:

  • Technically
  • Tactically
  • Physically
  • Mentally

During twice a week, 1.5 hour-long training sessions, each player will be coached on proper technique, competitive mindset, body mechanics, and the tactics of the game.

At such a critical age of development, competitive soccer players must be in an environment that not only allows for progress and growth, but expects it.  At FC Alliance, this expectation is grounded in a framework that has clear and concise goals and an equally clear and concise blueprint for reaching those goals.

FC Alliance is primed to become the touchstone for youth clubs in Tennessee that not only produces competitive soccer players, but outstanding young men and women as well.

Alliance Academy Sites

Located across Knoxville and East Tennessee, site locations include Pre-Academy (ages 4-7) and Academy Age (9-12) players. Academy sites give players an opportunity to learn and develop skills necessary to become a soccer player within the alliance system of training. Players compete at site and in local alliance league. Sites are directed by competitive level staff coaches Alliance Academy Sites include:

  • US Cellular
  • Carl Cowan
  • Johnny Long
  • Ebenezer/Bearden Adaptive
  • Madisonville
  • Academy Park
  • Anderson
  • North Knox Dry Gap

Focus: To develop academy training areas located around the greater Knoxville area to feed players into the Alliance competitive program and to increase both awareness and interest for Alliance Soccer in outlying areas of Knoxville.

Method: Develop large numbers of players in the same system, with same terminology and general curriculum, who can then fit into appropriate age competitive teams as they become older. This is done through curriculum standardization and by having age group specialists work with age group coordinators to constantly refine and improve curriculum.

DII State Champions
U12 Girls Black

On Sunday, May 17, 2009, FC Alliance’s U12G Black team brought the Academy its first State Champion.  While going 3-0 and outscoring their opponents 9-1, these young ladies demonstrated the character of a champion.  The hard work, dedication and commitment that this team and its parents have shown in the last year are indicative of our Academy’s success.  Congratulations!!!
